Stephanie Corneliussen is a Danish actress best known for her portrayal of the menacing Joanna Wellick on USA Network's critically acclaimed show Mr. Robot.


Corneliussen's captivation by the performing arts, started at a young age on stage as a ballet dancer in Copenhagen, Denmark, later by musical theater and while modeling throughout Europe, it set her on course for Los Angeles. After obtaining permanent residency in 2013, she began her career in film and television, having taken on on projects such as: Hello Ladies The Movie by The Office co-creator Stephen Merchant, a main-role in Sam Esmail's Mr. Robot and most recently Marvel's Legion from Fargo creator, Noah Hawley.


Corneliussen advocates strongly for Human and Animals Rights, with attentiveness to gender, race and LGBTQ+ equality, and continued efforts toward the destigmatization of mental illness. Open of her bisexuality, she's served as official presenter at the annual Los Angeles AIDS Walk.

A proponent of veganism and environmental consciousness, Corneliussen is affiliated with international animal rights and welfare organization Animal Equality, served as Ambassador for The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust & A is for Animals global conservation campaign, and has engaged in several collaborations with Mercy for Animals.
